What this site collects

The personal data this site collects is what you submit yourself: through the contact form (your name, email address, project type, budget range and message) and anything you type into the AI guide or the SEO checker.

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count page visits and see which pages are useful. It runs in Consent Mode: until you choose Accept in the consent bar, no analytics cookies are set. If you decline, Google receives only cookieless, anonymous signals. There is no advertising and no ad tracking, and your choice is remembered in your browser so you are not asked again.

AI guide and SEO checker

Messages to the AI guide and URLs sent to the SEO checker are processed by Google Cloud Functions, which call Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash model on Vertex AI. The SEO checker also asks Google PageSpeed Insights to test the page you enter. AI guide conversations are saved (the messages, the page you were on and the time, but not your IP address or name) so I can see what visitors ask and improve the answers. They are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted automatically. SEO checker results are not stored. Please do not enter sensitive personal information into the AI guide.

How it's used

Contact form submissions are sent directly to Darlington Chanakira's email via AWS Simple Email Service, solely to respond to your enquiry. Your information is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for marketing without your direct consent.

Data storage

Submissions are processed by an AWS Lambda function and delivered by email; they are not stored in a separate database. Email correspondence is retained for as long as needed to manage the project enquiry or engagement.

Your rights

Under South Africa's POPIA, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information submitted via this site. Contact [email protected] to make a request.

Hosting

This site is hosted on AWS (S3 + CloudFront). Standard server access logs (IP address, browser type, page requested) may be retained by AWS CloudFront for operational and security purposes, not for tracking individual visitors.
