NamYum
A one-page Astro site for NamYum, founded by Natasha Chanakira. The green label and gold lid are scaled up into colour-blocked bands, the wordmark was redrawn as a clean SVG, and the labels were rebuilt so every product shot reads correctly. Each product links to a prefilled WhatsApp order. It is hosted on AWS Amplify, defined in CDK, with staging and production deployed from GitHub Actions.

The problem
NamYum has made 100% peanut butter in Windhoek since 2020 and added honey in 2024, but it had no website. The brand lived on a Facebook page, and its only photos were phone shots of jars.
The goal
Give a small Namibian food brand the polish of a national one: a page built from its own label colours, product photography that sells the jar, and one clear way to order.

Engineering decision
Rebuilt the labels in HTML and SVG and gave the image model their exact front face, so the product shots carry the real label text instead of invented lettering.
Insights
Using only the claim already printed on the jar, "100% peanuts. No added sugar. All natural.", kept the site honest and gave it its lead line.
For a brand that sells through WhatsApp, one prefilled order message per product does the job of a shop without the running cost of one.
